brightness/contrast vs adjustment lvl. in photoshop

hmm... i was thinking... do they do the same thing?

hmmm.. note to self. feather/masking

note to self. first i was working on a mask adding a second me to the pic. i used feather to blend it to the background. it came out good. soon then i added a third me to the pic. i started using black to erase the background but my brush was doing this fade  thinngy round the brush... took me 10mins trying to find out y its doing that. i finally found that the feather does not reset with each layer/mask. so i set it back to 0 then my brush "hardness" is normal again.

photoshop is starting to become more fun now that im learning to do stuff on it. ^^
